Beautiful Downtown Lewiston partners with the Small Business Development Center to host a seminar about property redevelopment in downtown Lewiston

April 6, 2016

Beautiful Downtown Lewiston (BDL) is pleased to partner with the North Central Idaho Small Business Development Center to offer a seminar about property redevelopment in downtown Lewiston. The seminar will begin with tours of properties ripe for redevelopment to be followed by a panel of community members and City of Lewiston staff discussing their experiences revitalizing buildings. Panel speakers include:

  • Nikki Hites and Vikky Ross, (Morgan’s Alley, Blue Lantern Coffee House, etc.)
  • John Smith, City of Lewiston Building Official
  • Randy Krall, Alexander Investments (Towne Square, Penny Lane, Mykelbusts, etc.)
  • Tim Lynch, My Architect, LLC

The seminar is intended for community members curious about what it really takes to bring a building back to life in downtown Lewiston. “We’re grateful to the investors and staff who have agreed to share their expertise with us,” said Courtney Kramer, Executive Director of Beautiful Downtown Lewiston. “Their experiences range from smaller projects with a sizeable ‘sweat equity’ component to multi-phased, multi-million dollar projects. It will be really interesting to build on their experiences.”

The seminar will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Lewiston City Library, 411 D Street in Lewiston. The tours will leave the library at 3PM and return to the Library for the seminar at 4PM. The seminar is capped at 25 participants and there is a $30 fee, with all proceeds to Beautiful Downtown Lewiston. Participants should RSVP ahead of time to Barbara Leachman, at baleachman@lcsc.edu or 208-792-2465.
