Community members invited to give feedback on downtown Lewiston
Citizen Engagement Pop Up Shop planned at 621 Main Street in Lewiston December 1, 8, and 15, 2018
Community members are invited to Beautiful Downtown Lewiston’s Bundle Up Downtown, a series of free community events on December 1st, 8th, and 15th that include free antique fire truck rides, movies at the Roxy Theater, children’s dance performances and free hot cocoa. Tickets for the fire truck rides and movies are available at Bundle Up Headquarters at 621 Main Street between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm.
While in Bundle Up Headquarters, community members can participate in interactive art activities to identify the people, places, and traditions that make downtown Lewiston unique. This citizen engagement project is part of the Lewiston Downtown Master Plan and is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
“The Downtown Master Plan needs to be based on what the community wants in downtown Lewiston,” said Courtney Kramer, Executive Director for Beautiful Downtown Lewiston Revitalization Corporation. “Partnering citizen engagement activities with the Bundle Up activities is a great way for us to gather information from people in a fun, interactive setting. We’re grateful for the team of volunteers who are giving up their time on a Saturday in December to make this happen!”
